How Much Does Boxing Gym Software Cost?

The subscription is one line on the bill. Here is how to budget for memberships, coaching, retail, and the payments behind them.

By SIXPAC

The short answer: compare the whole monthly bill

Boxing gym software does not have one universal price. Your budget should include the subscription, payment processing, required add-ons, equipment, and any setup or migration costs. A low subscription is useful only if it covers the way your gym operates.

For a concrete starting point, SIXPAC's standard software plans list CORE at $36/month, CORE+ at $72/month, and CORE MAX at $144/month. Payment charges are separate. The boxing gym page also advertises an offer starting at $18/month. Confirm which offer applies, how long it lasts, and the ongoing price before budgeting.

This guide is written by SIXPAC, a software provider. Prices were checked on September 3, 2026. The example below is a budgeting illustration, not a merchant quote or a market-average claim.

What belongs in a boxing gym software budget?

Start with one normal month of business. Count memberships, private sessions, drop-ins, camps, and gear sales. Then ask each provider to price the same mix of activity.

Ask for these items in writing
CostWhat to check
Software subscriptionMonthly versus annual billing, locations, member limits, staff accounts, and the price after any introductory offer.
Payment processingPercentage charges, per-transaction charges, monthly charges, and the difference between in-person and online or recurring payments.
Extra toolsWaivers, booking, POS, reports, and anything you must keep outside the platform. Include usage-based email or text charges where applicable.
EquipmentCard readers, tablets, receipt printers, shipping, and any lease or replacement costs.
Setup and migrationImport assistance, staff training, overlapping subscriptions, and time spent checking member and billing records.
Exceptions and exit costsRefund treatment, disputes, early termination, data export, and any minimums or annual fees.

Recurring memberships and prepaid class passes have different billing workflows. Make sure the quote covers both if your gym sells both. Do the same for youth-program accounts, signed documents, and front-desk merchandise sales.

Payment pricing: the small percentage needs context

A processing quote can combine a percentage, a per-transaction charge, and fixed fees. With interchange-plus pricing, the processor's markup is only part of the total; underlying interchange and applicable network charges still matter.

SIXPAC advertises pass-through pricing as low as 0.05% + $0.10 per transaction over interchange*. That is not a 0.05% all-in processing rate. Ask for a complete written quote for your gym's card mix and payment methods.

Illustration: $30,000 in card sales across 300 transactions.
At that advertised markup, the percentage component is $15 and the transaction component is $30. The $45 subtotal is markup only, before interchange, applicable network charges, fixed fees, and other quoted costs.

For a statement comparison, divide total processing-related fees by the matching month's gross card volume. Use the same fee categories and treatment of refunds for each provider. This effective rate is a comparison tool, not a promise that next month's card mix will cost the same.

Bring a recent statement to a SIXPAC payment review. Ask specifically about gateway, PCI, monthly, dispute, and refund charges instead of assuming that an omitted line means zero.

*Interchange-plus pricing. Advertised markup is subject to eligibility, payment setup, and underwriting. Interchange, applicable network charges, and other fees are separate. Where average rates are quoted, actual rates can be lower or higher. Confirm all terms with SIXPAC.

A worked monthly budget

Suppose a gym processes $30,000 across 300 card transactions. To show the arithmetic, assume a $50 software subscription, a $5 fixed payment charge, and an illustrative flat processing price of 2.9% + $0.30*. All prices in this example are hypothetical, not a SIXPAC package or a competitor quote. Replace them with your actual terms.

Illustration only: $30,000 volume, 300 transactions
Budget itemCalculationMonthly
SoftwareAssumed subscription$50
Fixed payment chargeAssumed monthly fee$5
Percentage processing$30,000 × 2.9%*$870
Transaction charges300 × $0.30*$90
Illustrative subtotalBefore other costs or taxes$1,015

*Hypothetical flat-rate assumptions used only for this example, not interchange-plus terms or an available SIXPAC package. Add hardware, setup, optional services, taxes, and exception fees where applicable.

At unchanged volume and pricing, that subtotal is $12,180 over 12 months. A $20 difference in software costs is $240 per year. A 0.20-percentage-point difference in total processing cost on the same $30,000 volume is $60 per month, or $720 per year. Neither figure is a savings guarantee; both show why the whole bill deserves attention.

Keep a separate first-year setup budget. If you buy equipment or run both systems for a month, those costs should not disappear just because a monthly comparison looks attractive.

Compare a real day at your gym, not a feature count

Ask for a demonstration of a new member joining, signing a waiver, booking a class, and buying wraps. Then ask to see a membership change, a private lesson, and a refund. These connected steps reveal more than a long checklist of features.

MyStore brings customer-facing purchases together. Test the membership, service, and retail flows your own gym needs.
  • Scheduling: Can staff manage classes and private coaching without duplicating calendars?
  • Customer records: Can staff find bookings, membership details, signed documents, and payment history in context?
  • Retail: Do inventory and merchandise fit the same checkout workflow?
  • Switching: Who imports data, checks recurring billing, and trains the team? Payment credentials may require a provider-supported migration rather than a simple spreadsheet import.

Common pricing questions

Are payment fees included in the monthly software price?

Do not assume so. SIXPAC lists software and payment options separately. Ask for a combined estimate using your monthly card volume, transaction count, and mix of recurring, online, and in-person payments.

Can boxing gyms start at $18/month?

SIXPAC advertises a boxing-gym offer starting at $18/month, while the standard CORE plan starts at $36/month. Ask SIXPAC to confirm offer eligibility, duration, included support, and renewal pricing. Use the written quote as your budget.

Should I switch just to reduce the subscription?

Compare total costs, workflow fit, and migration effort first. A lower subscription is not enough if it adds other tools, manual work, or more expensive processing.
